Karen Zhao
Karen was born in 1994. She is a second-year student studying at Emory University. She majors in Psychology, and may double major in Bachelor of Business Administration next year. Karen was born in the U.S. but she went back China when she was 4-month old. She first came to the U.S. in 2012, studying in the University of South California. She transferred to Emory in the fall of 2013. Karen is now a member of Emory China Care, Global China Connection, and Tzu Ching (a volunteer organization originated from Taiwan).
Karen was very happy to do the interview and she said that "hope international students can be better understood by more American people."
Muhammad Hadi
Muhammad is an MBA student studying at Emory Goizueta Business School. He is from Pakistan, and he is a finance and marketing professional with broad experience in start up, capital raise, valuation, launch of new product, research and data analysis. He came to the U.S. in 2013 and now is a member of Goizueta Entrepreneurship Club and Goizueta Nonprofit Consulting.
Muhammad said that "this is a great experience to express my opinions about international students' life here". He also said that "hope more international students can be inspired by the video".
Jeff Guo
Jeff was born in China in 1993. He first came to the U.S. when he was 15 years old, studying in a 80% African-American school in Florida. After a year, he attended United World College in Costa Rica. Now he is a third-year student at Emory University and an intern at Oliver Wyman. Jeff has very broad interests such as skiing, fishing, and reading. His dream is to travel around the world.
Jeff thought that making a video about international students' life here is a good idea. And he hoped that "more international students can get out of their comfort zones and realize their dreams".
